Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.<br \/>\nS: Took hammer away from midget.<\/p>\n<p>P: DME volume unbelievably loud.<br \/>\nS: DME volume set to more believable level.<\/p>\n<p>P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.<br \/>\nS: That&#8217;s what they&#8217;re there for.<\/p>\n<p>P: IFF inoperative.<br \/>\nS: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.<\/p>\n<p>P: Suspected crack in windshield.<br \/>\nS: Suspect you&#8217;re right.<\/p>\n<p>P: Funny sounds from behind instrument panel.<br \/>\nS: Installed non-funny sounds.<\/p>\n<p>P: Aircraft handles funny.<br \/>\nS: Aircraft warned to &#8222;straighten up, fly right, and be serious&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>P: #2 ADF needle runs wild. <br \/>\nS: Caught and tamed #2 ADF needle.<\/p>\n<p>P: Turn-and-slip indicator ball stuck in centre during turns. <br \/>\nS: Congratulations. You have just made your first co-ordinated turn.<\/p>\n<p>P: Target radar hums.<br \/>\nS: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.<\/p>\n<p>P: Seat cushion in 13F smells rotten. <br \/>\nS: Fresh seat cushion on order.<\/p>\n<p>P: Flight attendant cold at altitude. <br \/>\nS: Ground checks OK. <\/p>\n<p>P: Weather radar went ape! <br \/>\nS: Opened radar, let out ape, cleaned up mess.<\/p>\n<p><i>And this one from a pilot instructor who ejected from a military trainer aircraft:<\/i><br \/>\nP: Reason for emergency eject: Landing gear would not retract<br \/>\nS: Aircraft had fixed landing gear.
